How To Get Rid Of The Facebook Virus?
Because this virus downloads so many files, it can be tricky to remove. Here is how to get rid of the Facebook virus manually without any special programs.
1. First, you'll have to press Ctrl+Alt+Delete and go to the Processes tab.
2. Under this tab, stop the fbtre6.exe process, and then stop the mstre6.exe process.
3. These processes are part of the virus that run constantly on your computer.
4. Next, you'll need to go to the Start button, choose Run, type in "regedit" without the quotes, and press the OK button.
5. This will start the Registry Editor program.
6. Under the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE folder, you'll need to delete the entries that have fbtre6 or mstre6 in them, and then you'll need to do the same for the HKEY_CURRENT_USER folder.
7. Be very careful with this step, because if you delete anything you're not supposed to in the registry it can completely stop your computer from working.
8. Finally, close the registry editor program and go to My Computer. Choose the Windows folder on your hard drive, and delete the fbtre6.exeand fmark2.dat files from there.
